City of Angels School provides an independent study alternative for Los Angeles Unified School District (L.A.U.S.D.) students who are unable to attend a program of traditional classroom instruction.

In the City of Angels environment, students, parents and teachers are partners in fulfilling educational goals. The curriculum at City of Angels School is California standards-based instruction. We offer classes that fulfill the A-G UC and CSU general education requirements, except foreign language, as well as many elective courses.

Students at City of Angels School must meet a minimum of one hour per week with their assigned teacher and receive 30 hours of work to complete at home.  With the approval of his/her teacher, a student has the opportunity to concurrently enroll in community college or adult school and receive high school and college credits.

Upon successful completion of all required classes through grade twelve, and after passing the California High School Exit Exam, students receive a Los Angeles Unified School District (L.A.U.S.D.) high school diploma at a traditional graduation ceremony.
