Cowan Magnet Enrollment

This message is to be distributed to all parents. It is from Terri Haywood, member of the magnet center planning committee:

At the Principal's Town Hall meeting this past Thursday, Mr. D announced that all Cowan students who have been accepted and are planning to attend the new Magnet Center, will need to complete a new LAUSD STUDENT ENROLLMENT FORM. Please stop by the main office Monday through Thursday anytime between 9AM - Noon to pick up one. This form needs to be completed and returned by next Friday, June 19. If you were in attendance at the meeting on Thursday and received a complete new student enrollment packet, you only need to complete the two-page, multi-copy ENROLLMENT FORM. Additionally, it would probably be a good idea to update your EMERGENCY INFORMATION CARD if any contact information has changed

Fifth Grade Culmination

Wednesday June 17, at 9:00 am on the yard. 

 Kindergarten Culmination

Friday June 19, at 10:30 am in the auditorium. Reception will immediately follow on the grassy area between Rooms 1 and 2.

Summer Reading Challenge
We are pleased to announce that we will be doing our annual 1000-page Summer Reading Challenge again this year!  In an effort to be more environmentally conscience, we have decided to distribute the packets electronically versus by hard copy.  A few hard copies will be available in the school office. more on the weekly announcements page
