Local School Leadership Council

Cowan is in the process of setting up a Local School Leadership Council (LSLC). The council will be comprised of teachers, administrators, parents and community members.
LSLC has oversight of the following matters
1. Staff development program
2. Student discipline guidelines and code
3. Schedule of school activities and events,
and special schedules.
4. Guidelines for use of school equipment,
including the copy machine.
5. The following local budgetary matters:
a. Instructional Material
b. School-Determined Needs
c. State Textbook and Related Material
d. Instructional Material -
Special Education
