ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY ADMINISTRATIVE EXAM ANNOUNCEMENT

The Certificated Human Resources Division is announcing the Elementary & Secondary Administrative Examination this coming Spring 2009.

Individuals interested in applying for the examination should contact the Administrative Selection Unit (ASU) at (213) 241-6886 for further information.

CALSTRS PRE-RETIREMENT WORKSHOPS FOR CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES

The District co-sponsors pre-retirement workshops [MEM-4443] each year with the California State Teacher's Retirement System (CalSTRS) for Certificated employees. These workshops are hosted at various District school sites and provide valuable retirement information to certificated employees at any stage of employment. The workshops are particularly important when employees are contemplating retirement.

TEXTBOOK ORDERING PROCEDURES FOR DISTRICT 1 SCHOOLS

    2. On Textbook Services Home, please check the "Instructional Materials Survey Template" for list of approved textbooks.
    3. Download and print appropriate order forms.
    4. (Secondary orders only) Contact publisher representative to confirm:
      a. Price
      b. Free materials included
      c. Shipping and handling
    5. Complete downloaded forms.
    6. Print Request for Textbooks Cover Sheet and complete all sections.
    7. Principal signature is required on all textbook requests.
    8. Bring completed forms to your Roadshow appointment.
