Cochran Middle School was fortunate to be selected as the Community Outreach Beautification Project for Comcast Cast Cable Corporation this past Saturday, April 25, 2009.  LAWORKS managed the project where we had over 500 participants paint, build, clean and plant areas around the school during a five hour period.  The results were great!  Please enjoy these pictures from the project.

On Monday, the students were excited about the changes.  E! News filmed the reaction at 7:30 in the morning and it played on the Ryan Seacrest E! News.  The teachers and students were impressed that so much changed over the weekend.  One student said that we shouldn't spend money on murals, but we should save the teachers.  We told the student that all of this was donated by Comcast and their employees.  He thought that that was cool...very cool.
