All students in the Computer Animation class create cartoons doing the following: *Learn and apply the step by step process of Animation- Developing a story, designing characters, planning a cartoon. *Learn the history of animation and film-making. *Learn complex computer programs to create animated sequences. All students will participate in the creation of an animated cartoon via computer programs, such as: Fireworks MX, GifBuilder, and Macromedia Flash MX for first year students, Alias Maya 7.0 for advanced Animation students. All students will go through the pre-production, production and post-production aspects of animation, which is similar to the process that is currently implemented within all animation studios. The animation class was featured in the CTA 'California Educator' magazine here. The top ten projects in the Animation class will be presented at the Animation & Film Festival, and student teams will be awarded the Starlight Award. The Animation class participating is taught by me, Kirk Palayan at T.S. King Middle School, I am also the site administrator; please e-mail me by clicking here. Calendar for King Middle . |
