MUSIC DEPARTMENT

At Marvin we are very proud of our Music Department. Our highly qualified and dedicated music teacher, Ms. Carlisle, heads our chorus, which meets several times a week and performs on special occasions, such as Christmas, African-American Month, Spring Concerts, and more. She is also the head of our ochestra for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Students who participate in this program practice playing their instruments every day and then join together as an orchestra once a week to rehearse. Ms. Carlisle additionally teaches regular music to all of the students at Marvin.
