I. Overview

Paul Revere Mathematics, Science & Technology Magnet Center is a grades six - eight school whose operational precepts are based upon the philosophies and research of voluntary integration and the middle school movement for restructuring education in the middle years. The enrollment capacity at Revere is 393 students, equally divided into 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes. Families wishing their child to participate in the magnet program at Revere begin by submitting an on time, completed application. Student selection is done on a priority point system that is based upon the court-ordered reduction of the harms of racial isolation. Once information on the application is verified, the District's Information Technology Division, through a computer process, automatically assigns priority points to each applicant.
