A Special Program for Students Identified as Highly Gifted

Special classes within the SAS program are offered to students identified highly gifted (minimum 145 IQ) by Los Angeles Unified School District. This special program is geared for students who are highly motivated, creative, and desire the challenge of a very rigorous course of study; students are expected to excel beyond the assignments. The highly gifted program strives to empower students with the tools needed to thrive in their high school and college endeavors. A three-year curriculum will lead to Advanced Placement classes in high school and post secondary success.

A Program that Makes a Difference

The purpose of the newly designed School for Advanced Studies (SAS) at Paul Revere is to establish a program for highly able learners. The program features the use of differentiated instructional strategies, materials, and classroom expectations in order to meet the unique learning needs of students who perform significantly beyond their age and grade-level. The SAS program serves as an additional Gifted/Talented Program option available to students enrolled at Revere Middle School.
