Departmental Policy on Non-suits
A student who does not dress for Physical Education class
will receive a score of ‘0’ for that day and also receives no participation
credit. It is the student’s
responsibility to take the PE uniform home on Friday and return with it washed
on Monday. No excuses (including notes from home) are accepted for
non-suits. If your child has a medical condition they are still expected to
dress unless a doctor’s note has been verified by the school nurse’s office
stating that the condition prevents them from dressing.
Policy On absences
Because Physical Education is
a class based primarily on participation, it is essential that students be in class,
actively participating and engaged in their units everyday. When a student is
absent for any reason, the have earned a participation score of ‘0’ for that
