A free orientation and counseling session are required as part of the registration process. Orientation is on Monday or Wednesday. Please call 310-664-5888 for more information.
A registration fee, to be deteremined, for each semester.
For most classes, a materials class fee, the amount depending on the class, will be collected at time of enrollment. Exceptions as noted in the class schedule.
All fees are cash only.
An optional (strongly recommended) student body color photo ID card is available for $10.00
The students meeting any of the following criteria are exempt from paying fees:
Student enrolling in the programs of ABE, ASE, Citizenship and ESL pay a $30.00 course fee for the term, for a single course of study. Students who cannot finish a course within the course term will pay again upon enrolling for the next term.
Students enrolling in the ABE, Lab or ASE, Individualized Instruction Lab pay a $30 course fee for each course of study.
Upon request a student may be issued a refund of fees when he or she drops the class before the first day of attendance or within seven (7) calendar days following the first day of possible attendance. However, a $20.00 drop fee will be assessed on a per course basis, except when an administrator has closed the class during the initial enrollment period.
The student MUST PRESENT THE BLUE REGISTRATION RECEIPT when requesting a refund. No refunds will be issued WITHOUT it.
For courses that require entrance testing, students pay a non-refundable twenty dollar ($20) fee for this service. For courses that require an application and/or interview, students pay a non-refundable thirty dollar ($30) fee. These fees are additional to Course Fees.
Adults 18 years of age or older.
Regular day high school students if they secure approval from their day high school counselor and parent or principal caretaker.
Others under 18 years of age may be eligible. See the adult school counselor for details.
The administration reserves the right to cancel any class if there is insufficient funding provided by the State of California, if an insufficient number of students are enrolled or if the average attendance falls below the number required by the Los Angeles Board of Education.
