Programs for Adults with Disabilities
This office assists adult students with disabilities who enroll or are interested in enrolling for CTE training. The purpose of this program is to individualize the support and services necessary to allow students with disabilities to perform on an equal basis with the non-disabled students on campus.
Services Available May Include:
- Sign language Interpreters
- Fee Waivers
- Agency Referrals
- Note-taking Paper
- Specialized Adaptive Equipment and Materials
- Registration, Guidance and Testing
- Job Placement Assistance
- TDD Access
- Individualized Counseling
Qualifying for the Program
To qualify for the program, students must provide verification of the disability. Disabilities may include but are not limited to:
- Physical Disabilities
- Hearing Impairments
- Vision Loss
- Students with learning, emotional, developmental disabilities, or history of substance abuse.
- Students who attended high school special education classes
- Persons receiving state, country, or social security income based on disability
- Persons who have sustained a job related injury and/or receive worker’s compensation.
- Disabled veterans
- Clients of Vocational Rehabilitation
