A:
Plainview Avenue was originally known as Palm Street and, coincidentally, Plainview Avenue Elementary School was originally called Palm Street School. The names of 51 streets and 60 avenues in the community were changed after the City of Los Angeles annexed the City of Tujunga in 1932 after a very narrow win in an apparently questionable election.
