The first classrooms at Verdugo Hills High School were temporary bungalows. Why was that?
A:
The classrooms were in temporary bungalows because the Board of Education reportedly did not consider the Tujunga Valley ready for permanent high school buildings. Ironically, while these bungalows have been moved from their original location and the wood siding replaced with stucco on some of them, they are still in use almost 60 years later!
