Trivia Challenge - Question 23
Q:
"Sister Elsie" had a local mountain peak and a well named after her. Who was she?
A:
Sister Elsie's identity has been clouded in mystery over the years and she has become something of a local legend. She was thought to have been a member of the Sisters of Charity order of the Catholic Church who used the well, located in Tujunga, to water herds of cattle destined for an orphanage for Indian children run by the order in Los Angeles in the mid-1800's.
