Kevin Baker, Director, School Services, Narbonne Family
The vision of success for every student in District K is to be literate in the areas of reading and math and then apply their knowledge to solve the complex problems facing our diverse communities. District K currently has 70 schools serving 66,857 students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Our diverse ethnic student population has demonstrated academic excellence with over 80% of our schools reaching or exceeding the targeted Academic Performance Indicator (API) as set for each school by the Department of Education for the State of California. With our focus on the instructional and professional development priorities for District K, the Instructional Support Services for Local District K are organized to support the success of every student in our local schools. We continue to expand our efforts to ensure that every child at every grade level in District K learns to read, compute and achieve with power and purpose for life-long learning.
