IMaST II Grant Specifics

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has embarked on comprehensive, system-wide reform emphasizing unified approaches to standards-based instruction, professional development, coaching and collaboration and Periodic Assessments.

This EETT Grant project, entitled Integrating Math and Science through Technology (IMaST II), focuses on changing instruction and integrating technology to actively engage students in achieving content standards.

IMaST students use technology tools as do scientists and mathematicians. Interactive technologies and simulations are used by teachers and students for direct instruction, modeling and demonstration, investigation and experimentation of science and math concepts to make content understandable, to capture student interest and to provide bridges across content areas.

This is a two year funded grant with a possible one year extension.
