For over thirty years, the All District Honor Band has been representing the LAUSD in the Tournament of Roses Parade and other high profile events such as Super Bowls, World Series, Inaugurations and Olympic Ceremonies.
The All District Honor Band brings together drum majors, musicians and tall flag carriers from throughout the District to form the 300 member ensemble. The program offers participants instruction from some of the finest teachers in the LAUSD and experiences that will last them a lifetime.
Auditions for drum majors, percussionist, shields, and tall flags occurs in mid- September and rehearsals for the full group starts on the first Saturday on October. Students must be recommended by their home school music teacher or administrator. |
