Summary of Performance Requirement for Students with Disabilities Graduating or Reaching Maximum Age of Attendance
Special education teachers may access Summary of Performance (SOP) Reference Guide, fillable General Curriculum Form, and fillable Alternate Curriculum Form on the Secondary Instruction page or LAUSD Documents page (under Teachers section) of the DOTS website.

Disability Support Program -
District provided transition services for high school leavers
Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult & Career Education, Disability Support Program (DSP) provides an array of post-secondary services to students with disabilities, who had exited high school, to ensure a smooth transition from school to the adult world. 2007/2008
CAHSEE Intensive Instruction and Services for 12th Grade Students
Students who have completed all graduation requirements except passage of the CAHSEE have the following opportunities for Intensive Instruction and Services:

        A. Adult Education

1. Adult Basic Education (reading, writing, mathematics)
2. Adult Secondary Education (high school courses)
3. CAHSEE Preparation

        B. Beyond the Bell

1. Extended Learning Program
2. Extended Learning Academy
3. Required Learning Academy

        C. Community College

The Los Angeles Community College District currently has a State grant in all nine campuses to provide CAHSEE remediation. Eligible students are concurrently enrolled in Adult School and Community College courses. Students work toward the completion of their high school diploma as well as bridge into higher education.

     D. Continuation School/Comprehensive High School

Students who have completed all credits necessary to graduate in 2008 and have not passed one or both parts of the CAHSEE are eligible to enroll in CAHSEE Boot Camp at Continuation High Schools and Comprehensive High Schools.

2008
Custodial/Buildings & Grounds Fundamentals Course
LAUSD Division of Adult and Career Education, Venice Skills Center is offering a course in Custodial/Buildings & Grounds Fundamentals. This course prepares students for entry-level employment as school custodian, upgrades skills, and prepares employees for promotion. Learn the fundamentals of floor care, carpet care, restroom care, outside grounds, chemical application, and employment skills. The class is held at Venice Skills Center, 611 5 th Ave., Venice, CA 90291, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45p.m.-9:00p.m. Registration is $20; class fee is $20. High School Diploma Workshops – CAHSEE and Career Preparation Program
Pierce College Bridge to Success Program offers one-on-one assessments, consultations and study plans to help students complete high school diploma requirements and get on a career path.  The workshops will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 and Tuesday, June 10, 2008, from 4:00p.m.-5:30p.m., in Applied Tecnology Room 3804, at 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills, CA 91371.  Workshops are free; no appoinment necessary.  For more information, please visit Bridge to Success website or contact (818) 710-4178.
