North Orange County Community College Transition Night 2008 North Orange County Community College District, Continuing Education and Disabled Students Programs and Services will host a resource fair, highlighting Community College resources in Cypress, Anaheim, and Fullerton, along with related services for students with disabilities, on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m., at Anaheim Campus (1830 W. Romneya Drive, Ahaheim, CA 92801).
Meet students who have achieved personal success in transitioning from school to work and independent living. Listen as they share their experiences of having a job and living on their own. Find out their secrets for how they got their jobs and what they do to keep them.

Cash for College
Free workshops that provide one-on-one professional financial assistance to students and families completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA] and Cal Grant GPA Verification Forms. The FAFSA is a required form in financial aid application packets for students who want to attend a four-year college/university, community college, vocational or technical school. Workshops are located throughout Los Angeles.

“College Prepared-Career Ready” Television Broadcast
KLCS program “College Prepared-Career Ready” will be broadcast on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Monday, January 21, 2008, at 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.
This program provides LAUSD secondary students and their families with information that will assist them in learning that higher education is affordable and accessible to all students and their families. Financial aid topics such as types of financial aid, eligibility, residency requirements, filing deadlines, and special circumstances will be discussed.
The program will be broadcast in Spanish simultaneously. For more information, please contact (213) 241-6040.
