timesheets and related forms. The new timesheets are available
in MS Word format and customized for specific calendars.
Completed timesheets are due to the DOTS Office on the date

Classified: ESY Filing Deadline is Friday, May 13, 2005
Only Regular Status Special Education
Trainees/Assistants and those in related Special Education
classifications may request Extended School Year (ESY) assignments.
Assignments will be based on seniority. Employees who are
assigned to and accept an ESY assignment are expected to
work the assignment for the entire period.

Applications for the 2005 Summer Session
program are available for currently contracted LAUSD teachers.
The filing deadline is April 15, 2005, at 5:00pm. Applications
submitted after this date and time will be assigned to the
pool in priority order and, if applicable, referrals will
be made according to the UTLA/LAUSD Collective Bargaining
Agreement. Applications are processed electronically and
applicants will receive a confirmation number when the application
is complete and transmitted to Human Services Division.

24-28, 2005 is 5-day leadership program designed to help
student with disabilities reach future education and career
goals. Participants will meet and interact with various
members of the community including celebrities politicians
and other role models for the disability community"

Time Reporting Procedures for Pay
Period 2705
Payroll time reporting day for Pay Period
2705 is Wednesday, March 23, 2005. For schools on traditional
calendar, this date falls during Spring Break. Traditional
calendar schools are instructed to call in time on Friday,
March 18, 2005. Traditional calendar students have the option
to work over the Spring Break, and time worked during this
week will be reported on April 6th. Year Round schools will
report time for Pay Period 2705 on the regular scheduled
day of March 23rd.

Career Portfolio Distribution
Career Portfolios will be distributed
to all LAUSD comprehensive high schools and local district
support units in the next 2-3 weeks. The Career Portfolios
will be shipped directly to school site and support unit
staff. We will be sending a follow-up email when the shipments
may be expected.
