Manipulatives
Reference
Practice

Virtual Manipulatives can assist students to gain a deeper conceptual understanding of mathematical topics and can either be used by the teacher as a demonstration or if possible, by the students themselves.

For example, The manipulative below allows one to move the sliders to change the values of a, b and c in a quadratic equation and see the resulting changes on the graph in real time.

Online reference materials can be a valuable resource to assist students who may have missed certain lessons, or to provide tools for differentiaited instruction.

There are many sites devoted to math practice games, such as the example below (from XPmath.com) where students have to quickly solve the equation in order to get a high score.

For example reference materials may have clear step by step solved problems, or may include instructional videos.
