About Rosemont

Welcome to Rosemont Avenue School's web site. Rosemont is part of Local District 4 of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It is located in the Rampart/Echo Park area of Los Angeles, California. Rosemont provides services to over 1,200 students in grades 1-5, of which three (3) classrooms serve special education students.

Rosemont is located in a neighborhood which for many, is a port of entry beginning new lives as immigrants from Mexico, Central America, the Philippines and other countries.

Rosemont participates in a school wide Title I program, which provides for supplemental materials and services. The school's GATE program provides for the search and referral of gifted children. Eligible students are clustered in classes where they receive an enriched and challenging curriculum.

The site is currently undergoing a re-design phase. Please bear with us should you find any dead links, etc. We hope you enjoy your stay and welcome any and all feedback.

Go to the Upper Yard and look for your child. All teachers have been asked to drop off children in the Upper Yard if they are not picked up on time.

Academic Performance Index

The official Academic Performance Index (API) Scores for the year 2007-2008 have been released. Rosemont scored 737 points! That's 8 points above last year's score. The State of Calornia's Goal for every school is 800 Points and we are taking that number and making it our goal for the 2008-2009 school year. With your support, our students can achieve this. We must work together and make it happen! Click HERE to see the results.

Discipline Policy
STARR: Life Long Learner!

starr

Rosemont has implemented new discipline policy that we hope you, the parents, will help support. We reffer to this new policy as STARR.

These are the elements that help promote a positive and safe learning atmosphere for our children. We ask that you speak to your child and review each of the elements and have them give you examples of each one.
