Stanford 9 scores higher.

For the fourth year in a row, the Stanford 9 scores have gone up in Verdugo. Our students scored higher in Reading, Math, Language and Science and remained constant in Social Science. Congratulations to the teachers and the Verdugo staff. Thanks to these increased scores, Verdugo is certainly in the running (again!) for the Governor's Performance Award this year.

Verdugo had the highest API score for senior high schools in District B. Verdugo also had the most improved gain above target: 18 points.

Last year, Verdugo was one of only 4 high schools (there are 49 high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District) receiving the 2000 - 2001 Governor's Award!
