The Paraeducator Career Ladder Program was developed in 1994 as a joint project of the Los Angeles Unified School District and Service Employees International Union, Local 99.

The Career Ladder is dedicated to developing community members into highly qualified teachers by encouraging high school students, paraeducators and college/university students to pursue careers as educators.

The Career Ladder Office serves all interested LAUSD employees in Bargaining Units B and F and provides:
