District E News/Events:
Local District E Office To Cease
Operations
Beginning July 1, 2004, the schools supported by Local District E will be
supported by the reorganized Local District 4. Only schools in the
the Los Angeles High School area will be serviced by a different district,
Local District 3. Local District 4 will also include the schools in
both the Fairfax High School area and the Belmont High School area.
The departing Local District E staff would like to thank all of you who
have dedicated your service in making the Local District E schools and
surrounding community a better place to educate our children.

ePals and Student E-mail Accounts
E-mail for employees at K-12
Schools has now switched to ePals for service. Instructions can be
found at:
http://www.lausd.k12.ca.us/lausd/offices/itd/epals.htm
Before school sites can begin issuing student e-mail accounts, the
principal must designate a staff person to administer the accounts by
e-mailing the designee's name and lausd.k12.ca.us e-mail address to epals@lausd.net.
No requests other than those coming from a school principal will be
accepted before a school designee is given authorization. Click

Quote on
Education
"To give to every citizen
the information he needs for the transaction of his own business;
to enable him to calculate for himself, and to express and
preserve his ideas, his contracts and accounts in writing; to
improve, by reading, his morals and faculties; to understand his
duties to his neighbors and country, and to discharge with
competence the functions confided to him by either; to know his
rights; to exercise with order and justice those he retains, to
choose with discretion the fiduciary of those he delegates; and to
notice their conduct with diligence, with candor and judgment; and
in general to observe with intelligence and faithfulness all the
social relations under which he shall be placed."
