| Mrs.
Martha Valencia - Assistant Principal: (mlv3216@lausd.net) I taught Spanish, math & Administration. I worked at Huntington Park High School (my home school). I love the friendly people who make Gage a wonderful school and the lovely 6th grade students who have stolen my heart. I As Educators we have many moments of fulfillment and accomplishments that leave enduring impressions on us. One of these special moments for me has been knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of many students. I have saved so many from dropping out of high school, influenced others to pursue a career in Education or in whatever their interests might be, but ultimately to do the right thing and to be productive citizens of our society. As a teacher, I always demanded that my students performed to the fullest of their ability; this resulting in 100% of my AP students passing the Advanced Placement Spanish Language Exam, and 100% of the lower levels passing the Golden State Exam. I am a firm believer that "all children can learn," and challenging students to achieve has always been my goal. Now, as an assistant principal, my passion to ensure that all students receive the best education and services a school has to offer continues. But, the biggest accomplishment has been to know that, through my leadership, I have served as a role model, not only to students, but to teachers, to clerical staff, and to some of our parents. |
